Get a Taste of the Albuquerque Wine Festival

Love nothing more than relaxing with a glass of vino? If you are traveling in Albuquerque and have booked a hotel suite for Memorial Day weekend, you’ll have to stop at the Albuquerque Wine Festival. Join the city as they relax with some of the whites and reds from the wineries across the Southwest.

Wines Offered

If you’re looking to find your new signature wine, the Albuquerque Wine Festival is the place to do it. Here you can try samples from any of the wineries and purchase a glass to drink on site. Love what you’re drinking? You can purchase bottles to enjoy at home or in your Albuquerque hotel suite.

This year, 24 wineries will be serving up their delicious drinks, including the following:

Acequia V & W, Amaro Winery, Anasazi Fields, Inc., Black Mesa, Black’s Smuggler, Camino Real Winery, Corrales Winery Inc., Casa Abril Vineyards, Casa Rondena, Cottonwood Wine, Casa Abril Vineyards, DH Lescombes VIP, Don Quixote Winery, Dos Viejos, The Grove, Las Nueve Ninas Winery, Luna Rossa, Matheson Winery, Mimosa, Ponderosa Valley Winery, Skarsgard Farms, St. Clair, Tierra Encantada Winery and Wines of the San Juan.

Family Fun

While the wine drinking will be reserved for the adults, the Albuquerque Wine Festival offers events for the whole family. Your family can shop from the arts and crafts vendors from all across the Southwest. Love live music? Six bands—James Carothers & the Renegade Mountain Band, A Thousand Horses, City Lights, Vinyl Tap, Los Primos and Nosotros—will be playing throughout the duration of the festival. After you’ve all worked up an appetite from grooving to the tunes, you can chow down on some cuisine from any of the international food vendors, including French, German, Caribbean and Cajun food.

Planning Your Trip

As you search to book a hotel in Albuquerque, you’ll want to choose a place that’s within close driving distance to the Albuquerque Wine Festival to keep the day as stress-free as possible. A hotel, like Barcelona Suites, that’s a short 15 minute drive away will give you some space from the busy festival grounds, yet it will still be close enough that you can come back for a quick rest if needed. If you want to fuel up before heading out to the famous Albuquerque festival, you may also want a hotel that offers a free, hot breakfast. This way, you can stay energized for the day ahead without having to spend extra money at a restaurant.
