Comics, cosplay, and character panels, oh my! It’s almost time for Albuquerque’s Comic Con again—2016’s event is scheduled to take place from January 8-10 at the Albuquerque Convention Center, and if you know what’s good for you, you won’t want to miss it!
Who’s Appearing at This Year’s Event?
The Albuquerque Comic Con is getting bigger and better every year, and this year’s featured guests are sure to impress you. Ranging from big-time movie stars to music legends, there’s something for everyone at 2016’s Comic Con.
If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll flip over Carrie Fisher, who is scheduled to appear on Sunday at Comic Con. Meet and greet Princess Leia herself—with the rigorous promotional schedule for Star Wars Episode 7, this will surely be a hit. Additionally, photo opportunities with Ms. Fisher, as well as with Peter Mayhew, will be available.

Power Rangers fans, rejoice! Frank, AKA the Green Ranger (and later, the White Ranger), is slated to appear this year, promoting the release of the new Power Rangers Movie. He will also discuss several other film projects and a reality show.
Music lovers will get a kick out of Marky Ramone’s appearance at this year’s event, too. Best known for his 15-year tenure with the legendary Ramones, this Ramone is currently in his eighth year as a DJ on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, where he hosts the show “Marky Ramone’s Punk Rock Blitzkrieg,” which has featured guests including Andrew W.K. and Michael Graves.
You might recognize her voice from the series Jem and the Holograms, where she did voice-over work for the characters Jem and Jerrica, but Samantha Newark has been keeping busy since then, too, most recently appearing in the movie, Jem and the Holograms. She is currently working on her third record of music.
