If you’re heading to the Southwest this summer, don’t miss the Albuquerque Comic Expo, taking place at the Albuquerque Convention Center from June 27-29. This comic expo is described as “New Mexico’s finest comic book, pop culture, and entertainment convention,” and features many guests and booths, as well as other events. Guests include comic artists, television and movie actors and actresses, authors, and more. Like many other Comic Cons and Comic Expos, fans can expect plenty of cosplayers, signings, and other unique events and exclusives, so bring your cameras and make sure to get plenty of sleep so you can handle all the excitement.
What to Expect
The Expo is held from June 27-29, at the Albuquerque Convention Center, which is located at 401 2nd Street NW. A one-day pass is $20, a three-day pass $40, and a VIP pass $150. ACE is sponsored by Citylink Telecommunications, Gamers Anonymous, Metalogic Computers, GameStop, A&B’S Lunchbox, and Free Radicals, and is an educational nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting the public arts by hosting an annual convention. Events include a CIP Party, panels from various speakers, Kid’s Day (Sunday 6/29), which features superheroes and panels geared towards kids, Celebrity Day, which features the Expo’s celebs complete with celebrity panels, events, and programming, and Comic Creator’s Day, which will feature comic writers and artists.
What to Do in ABQ
If you’re already planning to come to the Expo, that’s great.
